A SHARP SHOCK. (By Teleyraph — i’er Tress Association) WAIPCKURAU, July 29. A short, severe earthquake shock was experienced at Waipukurau at 11.45 this morning. If was followed by a • quivering tremor. Residents rushed into the streets in alarm. No .damage is reported. It is described as a terrible jolt. Poraugahua was badly shaken at 11/5 this morning, the.' quake being in an east-westerly direct jou. Crockery and movable articles were thrown from shelves. Minor damage only was done. The settlers were thoroughly frightened. 1 , SHOCK SEVERE. WAIPUKURAU. July 29. The shock was very severe in the 'Mangaorapa district. Many chimneys were brought "down and there was considerable 'minor damage.
