£VFRYBDDYB PICTURES. TO-NIGHT AND THURSDAY. “Swellhead” is one of th e attractions to-night. There are fights, with hard Blows, and with Johnny Walker standing tip to Tom Moore, a professional, : popular in Hollywood lights. Hickey, in one takes the countj in the other he .nearly does, but rallies and knocks the other fellow out after two exciting rounds. Every situation in which Mugsy and Maggie take part is a howl. Mugsy is dumb,;:but faithful. There are also Barbara’s vamping of the fighter, her treachery; Mamie’s breaking of her engagement to Bill, the break between Bill and his faithful manager y and romance with a delightful flavour. Mamie’s love for the hero is so great that she can step aside when she thinks he loves another girl. One of the year’s most exciting talking and sound pictures is “The Lost Zeppelin,” a. Cinema Art Films' release, featuring Conway Tearle, Virginia Valli and Ricardo Cortez. The thread of thrilling romafice follows the huge .dirig!ib|e into 'the Antarctic* regions. Conway Tearle gets his first big chance at talking pictures and proves h,is great ability. Tearle’s voice registers just as well as it did on the stage. He is seen as Commander Hall, of a Zeppelin which starts for'the South Pole. Tom Armstrong is to go as his chief assistant. Tom falls in love with Hall’s wife' before- the departure. Hall sees her in the arms of his assistant, but says nothing. On the evening before the start she confesses! her-, new love to her husband a»d asks for a divorce. He asks her to think the matter, over until their return, and she agrees. The Zeppelin on reaching the Antarctic, is wrecked in a terrific storm. The radio equipment goes dead. All in the party except Hall and Armstrong perish.
