AN OREGON STRUT. (By Telegraph —Per Press Association) WELLINGTON. July 28. A strut of oregon pint* obviously from all aeroplane, was washed up on Foxton beach. It is ten foot eight inches long with *a tapered end three inches wide on one iside, tapering to three and a quarter inches on the other, and one and a half inches thick. There are traces ot white paint on the upper and lower 'edges a-nd minute particles of fabric, are adhering under brass tacks. Both sides are hollowed out for lightness. It had evidently .been in the sea For a considerable 'time, as a mussel was attached. ’The set"'hf currents from Tasman Sea strike the beach and the find is considered likely to have a connection with the loss of Hood and Moncrieff’s plane, Ao Te IToit.
