The South Canterbury Hunt dub’s steeplechase meeting was held to-day rn fine weather, with a fair attendance. The tpte handled, against £10,640 last year. The track was in excellent order. H. Anderson, rider ol Radiac in the South Canterbury Steeples, suffered a broken- wrist. Results : Hadlow Hurdles:-—(3) Camisader 1; (4) Rajmeses 2‘; (1) Barrington 3. Won by a head. Time 2.45. The going was heavy. The totnlisator took £4847 compared with £14,250 on the second day last year, the total for the meeting being £8,959, compared with £24,076, a decrease of £15,177. During the day the Judicial Committee held an inquiry into a complaint laid by Hector Gray, charging W. Wilson, owner of Autumn dip, with making an allegation of corrupt riding by Gray in the Winter Oats Handicap on Thursday, when Gray rode Wilson’s horse, Autumn Sun. Before the Judicial Committee to-day, Wilson admitted that he had made the allegation, which lie had siu.ee ..recognised was tin justified, and he unreservedly withdrew .it, and tendered an apology to Gray, which was acce'ptod'.Results : Gisborne Hurdles: (3) Princess Elizabeth ],;•(!)
