VICTIM OF DROWNING FATALITY
SEARCH FOR PROSPECTOR’S BODY. Constable .Roycroft has returned to Queenstown from the West Coast, where ha went three weeks ago in charge of a party that set out in search of the body of Albert Edward Wade, the prospector who lost his life on June 11 last while attempting to swim the Lower Hollyford River. Very rough weather was encountered by the party, which increased the difficulties attaching to the search in the rough and inhospitable country. Though the coast from Martins to Big Bays was explored so far as the existing conditions would permit,e the search proved fruitless. The Lower Hollyford IRiver for almost a mile up from its mouth was heavily strewn with driftwood, driven up bv gales from the sea. This , also hampered the efforts of. the searchers.
