MISSING WIFE
HUSBAND SUICIDES. (Australian Press Association.) ADELAIDE, July 23. Detectives detained Lawrence Edson, aged 28 years, a train conductor, and a former policeman, telling him that they were going to dig us his garden in consequence of . the reported disappearance of his wife. While the digging was proceeding Edson whipped out an automatic revolver and shot himself dead. THE BODY FOUND. (Received this day at 10.15 a.m.) ADELAIDE, * July 23. Detectives discovered Mrs Edison’s body clothed in & print dress enclosed in a tarpaulin nine inches underground, with, a cement covering. It was buried in a shed in the backyard. The husband, according to the police, was engaged to another young woman.
