GERMANY'S CREDIT

A communique states the Plenary Meeting further considered the methods for restoring confidence in Germany by concerted international co-operation on the basis of the Finance Minister’s statement. Progress was made and certain technical questions referred to the Finance Ministers, who reconsider this afternoon the report of the main conference tomorrow. It is semi-offi-ciially stated that the Minister’s report will he quite short, and deals entirely with the question of supporting German credit, and keeping foreign short term credits in Germany. Proceedings were intensive and the friendly cooperation' most interesting. The dismission concerned the possibility of dealing with the fundamental causes of the crisis, but decided finally that speed was the essence of the situation. All energies should, be devoted to German credits. The discussions then dealt with the possibility of recommending a redistribution of credits among Germany’s creditors. No decisions were reached.
