LAUNCH TRAGEDY
NEAR WANGANUI. (By Telegraph—Bar Press Association) j WANGANUI, July 22. | Wreckage that has been found be--1 neath the cliffs three miles north of I the Wanganui River has been identified :as belonging to the launch “Scotia,” which le.t port five weeks ago, ow a fishing cruise. Aboard the ill-fated craft were William Young, aged 45; and William Emmery, single, agecl 35. Both were residents of Wanganui. The wreckage consists of portion of the mast, with a piece of sail attached, and several pieces of white painted hoard, which ar e attached to the foot of the mast, and apparently have been torn ironi the bottom of the boat. The owner of the launch is certain Unit the wreckage is part of the “Scotia,’,’ as he recognises some electric light fittings on the mast.
