The store sheep comprised chiefly oddments, with a few offerings of atcractive lots for breeding ewes wicit undoubted mouths arid reliable mating. A demand existed. Best quality hoggets were sought after. There was an improvement for best wethers. There was a smaller yarding of fat sheep, with a small percentage of outstanding quality most, of the lots showing signs of slipping in condition. The market opened firm, and hardened towards the closing stages. Best prime wethers sold up to 24s 7cl, good wethers 18s fid to 20s, ‘ ‘prime medium weights 16s to 18s, medium quality 14s to 16s fid, light 12s to ]3s. Befit heavy eWes sold to' 21s 7d. good 17s .to 18s ‘fid’ prime' medium; weights 15s to l6s fid, ‘medium quality ,12s, to 14s, light from 10s. ' . . There was ii medium yarding' of' fat pigs. Pork .was on a par with late rates. Bacon was easier.
