APPEAL BY PRISONER. (By Telegraph—Per press Association) WELLINGTON, July 17. On May lj 1331, Francis' William •Ilackett was sentenced at Wellington on a charge of breaking and entering to one year’s imprisonment with hard labour and was declared all habitual criminal. I ll's afternoon his • sentence was reviewed on his application by flic Court of Appeal and it was varied* by that part of the tence which constituted him an habitual criminal.
