ADDInGTON stock market. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) .OHMSTOTROH, July 15, The yardings werfc not large to-day at Addington Stockyard Market, and prices were well maintained. There was a medium entry of beef. The demand was keen, and there wa* a slight rise all round. The quality was good. Best heavy steers -solu to £l6 2s 6d, heavy £l2 15s to £l4 ss, prime £lO 15s to £ll 15s, medium £7 15s to £9 ss, others from £5 ss. Best heavy heifers sold to £lO 12s 6d, prime £6 15s, to ss, medium £4 15s to £6 ss, best heavy cows, £lO 17s 6d, prime £6 5s to £7 15s, medium £4 15s to £5 15s, others from £2 7s 6d. The store sheep comprised a medium yarding for this time of the year, and there was a good sale. Competition was keen for good ewes and wethers. There was a good attendance of buyers. There was a small yarding of mutton, barely sufficient for requirements. was fair to good in quality. Prices were firm at late rates. Best piime wethers sold to 21s, prime 16s to 18s 6d. medium 14s to 16s ; extra heavy ewes 18s 6d, heavy 15s 6d to 17s 6d, prime :13s 6d to 15s, medium 11s 6d to 13s, plain from Bs. Very few lambs were penned. They were sol'd with the fat sheep. Competition was keen from the butchers. Best lambs sold to 21s 6d, prime 16, 6d to 18s 6d, medium 13s .to 15s, light and plain from 9s. There was a medium yarding of fat pigs. Competition was easier. The rates were:—‘Light port 29s to 345, heavy 35s to 435; light baconers 47s to 64b, heavy 55s to £3 4s; choppers 47s 6d to £3 18s 6d.
