Hits ivennedy pleaded guilty to a charge that, on u m, im m u:d the tfieit oi coal valued at 2s, the property oj tne ani.ways Department. ivennedy was lined hi, and ordered to pav 2s, tile value of the stmeit coal, to -the-Railways Department:; also to pay 2s 6d witness’s.expenses. - ; Kevin ihi'siiold did not appear to answer a similar charge. Constable Rodgers said that he vis ited Pasfiekl’s hut about 5.30 p.in. on June, 19, and found a sack containing about a hundredweight of coal, under the bunk. Pasfield admitted that he had taken the coal from a truck in the railway yard. Tlie S.M. imposed a fine of £l, with 2s fid witness’s expenses, and ordered that the value of the coal 2s, fon, refunded to the Railways Department. Charles Green pleaded not guilty to a similar charge. After hearing -evidence accused was convicted -and fined £l, and ordered to refund the value of the coal 2s.
