A write/ in a northern paper says. His Excellency . the Governor-General paid an informal visit the other day to a New Zealand mental hospital. The chiefs of the big institution took him around, and the Governor, incognito, spoke to many of the inmates. One of the men patients was just about to leave, certified, as cured and in his right mind again. The Governor , had a chat with him and expressed the hope that he would be happy . and successful in h;s life in the. outside world. “That is very nice of you, m'ster,” sa ; d the man; “would yon nr.nd telling me your name?” “Oh, I'm Lord Bledisloe,” said i.ne Governor. "Look here." sa : d the other, confidentially and impressive! v “They'll soon knock that idea out of you here. I was KingsfordjSmith when 7 came in.”
