'MADRID, July 11
The police have discovered an audacious move on the part of the telephonists. The telephonists are on strike, and f•during the past five days they have intercepted important conversations by means of an illicit exchange in the heart of the city. They have been tapping the lines to the police headquarters, the banks, and the newspaper offices. Several arrests have been made.
