S.S. “ULIMAROA”.

WELLINGTON, July 9. The Ulimaroa left her bertn for Sydney at 3 p.m., to-day, but developed engine trouble and returned to the roadstead and anchored. She is expected to sail about midnight. WELLINGTON, July 10. The Ulimaroa got away again for Sydney at 8.15 this morning.

CHRISTCHURCH, July 9
Six applications by Unions for whole, or for part exemptions from the terms of the wages reduction order were before the Arbitration Court to-day. The 'Unions seeking ' exemption were the Carpenters’ and Joiners’ Union, the Plasterers’ Union, the Plumbers’ and Gasfittei's’ Union, the Metal Workers’ Assistants’ Union, the Christchurch Branch of the Amalgamated. Engineering and Allied Trades Union and the ■Christchurch Branch of the Engineering and Allied Trades Union (electrical workers).
The Court reserved its decision on all applications.
