We did everything but loop the loop, was how chief engineer Reece described the nightmare experience of the steamer Surrey which reached Sydney yesterday after being tossed about in the cyclone off the Heads since Monday, in a vain effort to maxe the port. The vessel encountered raging sens all the way from Cape of Good Hope. A seaman was lost overboard during the voyage.
