WEDDING BELLS

A quiet wedding was solemnized on Monday last, July 6th. at St. Paul’s, Arahura, the contracting parties being, Peggy, second daughter of Mr and Mrs L. A. Ddtely, Arahura, and Edward George, eldest son of Mr and Mrs AY. Routhan, Goldsboro ugh. The ' nuptial knot was tied by the Rev. Mountfort; After th© ceremony a quiet evening was spent at the residence of the bride’s, parents, the usual toasts being duly honoured. Mr and Mrs Routhan left later for North on an extended honeymoon. Their future home will be Harihari, South. Westland.

The wedding was solemnised at Holy Trinity Church, Greymouth, yesterday morning, of Trove Gillis, youngest daughter of the late Mr and Mrs G. Walters (Westport) and Harry Eglesfield (Jack), youngest son of Air and Mrs G. S. Wylde (Greymouth).' The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr G. Walters, was daintily attired in a model frock of embossed chanille made on Victorian lines, her beautiful embroidered veil being fitted to a tiny turban, composed of silver leaves. She carried a sheath of white and purple chrysanthemums, stock and botivardia. She was attended as bridesmaid bv Miss D. Turtill, who was attired dn a becoming frock of orange panne, velvet made on long lines with the skirt composed on silk net flounces with this she wore a small ruched picture hat finished on the side with a large bow. She carried a sheath of autumn tinted flowers and maiden hair ferns. The reception was held at the residence of Air and Mrs F. Kitcbdngham, Ida Street, the host and hostess being Air and Mrs G. Walters of Waipawa. Mr and Airs Wylde left by the express for the North, the bride travelling in a punella face cloth ooat, with tweed flrock and hat to tone.
