GIRLS INJURED. IN MOTOR COLLISION. I By Telegraph—Per Press Association) WELLINGTON. July 4. As the result of a motor collision at Oriental Bay, Miss A. Donald, of Lansdowne, Master-ton, was injured, sustaining a wound on the head, and severe shock. Miss M. Donald and Miss J Lilburn (Wanganui) sustained shock Miss A. Donald was taken to the general hospital. BABY’S BODY. FOUND IN A SACK. MASTER TON. July 4. The body of a newly-born male child, winch was wrapped in a sack, was found in the Ruamahanga River, some miles from Master ton. FOOTBALLERS injured.

Two footballers were injured to-day. John Ewart, a University student, received injuries to bis head in the senior match against Albion. W. Davis, married, a Hornsby League player, playing at Islington, suffered a fractured left leg. WAITRESS FOUND DEAD. WELLINGTON, July 4. The dead body of Margaret Mills, a waitress, 30 years of age, was discovered in her room at ilie Orient Hot: I early this morning by the proprietor. The deceased, who had been employed there for the past six months, had relatives in Auckland. AN ACCIDENT. CHRISTCHURCH, 'July 4. James Jackson, a married man of 7 Milsom Street, St. Albans, was admitted to the Hospital, in a serious condition, as a result of being knocked down by a motor-car at the corner of Healey Avenue and Papanui Road. He i.s suffering from internal injuries and injuries to his ribs. He is said to have stepped off the footpath when he collided with a oar making a lefthand turn. The driver of the car was Frank Harold Wise, St. Albans, who took the injured man to the hospital in his car.
