GISBORNE, July 6. “This young man hasn’t been in trouble before, but has made up for lost time in a very short period,” said Detective McLeod, in the Police Court to-day regarding Malcolm Ross Kerr, 23, with several aliases, who admitted a series of charges of theft and false pretences between Whangarei and Gisborne, including the theft of a motor-car and the purchase of another one with a valueless cheque. Accused was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence on the major charges and was remanded for sentence on the others.
