After the Senate last night, voted a credit for the building of eight warships in 1931, the Navy Minister, M. Dumont, this afternoon surprisingly, almost secretly, tabled a Bill for another credit for four 7500 ton cruisers, one destroyer and one torpedo boat, which are being built in 1932. This ,is the first time in French history of two naval programmes in one year. * PARIS, July 4. , The French Senate has passed an additional appropriation of twenty millions sterling for the ‘fortifications on kthe Belgian, German and Italian fronItiers, upon which eleven and a-fhaM |hiHipns'have already been spent. The Lcheme comprises amazing concrete ■renches and works wherein whole regiments can he housed. ■
