DRUIDS LODGE

The ordinary meeting of the Lodge \va s held on Thursday night, the 2nd inst. A.D. Bro. C. Gutberlet presiding over a fair attendance. The Officers roll was called and attendance noted.

Correspondence.—Outward read and approved; inward, read and received. The Secretary, Bro. Fox, submitted the half yearly ■ balance sheet which was adopted.

Bard’s report that seven members were on the sick list. Sick pay was then passed for payment, amounting to £4 14/-. Accounts—Auditor’s fees £l/1/- ; Grand Lodge dues £BB/2/9, making a grand total of £93/17/9 'uassed. A report from Sr. Ridland, Secretary of Social Committee on our annual ball which was an outstanding success, for the year, showing a credit balance of £5/4/2. A discussion took plaec re forming a Druids’ Debating Club. It was decided unanimously by the members present that a meeting be held on Monday night next, 6th July at 7.30 o’clock, and that a hearty invitation be extended to all members of the Lodge interested in the movement, to be present. Bro. N. Warren kindly offering his services as coach for the Club.

A lengthy discussion took place re Hospital Scheme, a very satisfactory arrangement being arrived at by the members.

The Lodge then formed a committee comprising of the Arch Druid and the three Trustees, to deal with cases ol distressed members, unable to pay their dues, brought about by the unemployment.

A copy o? the new revised Ritual was submitted to the Lodge for approval. After a lengthy debate it was decided by the members to adopt same. No further business, the Lodge closed in Hannonv. •
