The Secretary of the Commonwealth Steamship Owners’ Association giving evidence before the Full Court of the .Arbitration Court which is hearing an application for a reduction by ten per cent, in wages and salaries of members of the Merchant Service Guild, said the number of passengers carried between inter-State ports for the year showed a decrease of twenty-seven per cent, compared with 1930.
