The State Athletic Commission announced approval of the .fifteen rounds bout between Sharkey and Walker on Ebbets field on July 22nd. Billy Tyson, and one of his seconds have been disqualified for life by the Leichhardt Stadium Management. Tyson was "‘'engaged in a contest with ' the Filipino,Young Gilds, and when the referee, in the sixth round awarded the fight [to Gilds on a foul, Tyson lost his temper and he continued to attack his opponent and also attacked one of his seconds and the Stadium Director, Mr Pat McHugh, who tried to pacify him. Finally the police subdued him. JOHNS V. THOMAS. HAWERA, July 1. Harry Johns of Auckland, to-night fought a draw with Joey Thomas, the American, in a fifteen rounds professional contest.
