THEFT FROM HOTEL
ROBBERY AT KAIAPOI.

CHRISTCHURCH, June 29,
The Royal Hotel at AYoodend was broken into on Saturday evening, during the absence of the proprietor and members of the staff;' and £6 in money taken from the till in the bar, as well as three bottles of brandy, three of whisky, and a number of bottles of other liquor. One of two men who were arrested yesterday by the police admitted the theft, with which both will be charged at the Ainaistrnte’s Court at Kainpoi to-day. The premises of the Kainpoi Working Men’s Club were entered on Saturday and £2 in small cash taken.
