SOME PECULIAR RESULTS

(Received this day at 0.25 a.in) MAD HI 1), June z 9. Results indicate that the 'TCepubliean-Soc-’alist coal’ton gaiiud sweeping successes throughout the country'. Apparently no Communist was elected and there were few Monarchist successes.
An English woman, Victoria Kent, was iihe only woman return-, d. The system allowing candidates to nominate for several constituencies worked out strangely.
The 'Republican leader, Zamora, was defeated for Barcelona, but was elected for Saragossa.
Franco was defeated for Seville, but was elected for Barcelona.
The Foreign Minister, Lerwas. was elected for seven seats. Eomaiiones Sediles was idected. The last named was the hero of Java revolt for which he was sentenced to cLath but was reprieved,
