RUMOURS DENIED. (llniUd Free* AstiC'Ctatibn--By Electro Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON, June 28. The “Daily Mail” states that it has the highest authority for denying the JCum.oiirS prevalent regarding the forthcoming announcement' of the engagement of the Prince of Wales, tue latest of which rumours is that a Buckingham Palace ball, which the Queen is giving for her niece, Lady May Cambridge, on July 16th, would coincide witli the announcement of her betrothal, in connection with which the names of the Prince of Wales and Prince George have been coupled. Cqlouv is lent to the story by the knowledge that Lady May Cambridge is the Queen’s frequent companion, and that sheV often sits with Her Majesty when both are working at embroidery frames;
