WELLINGTON, June 27
Working on the wet floor of his garage at an electric lamp bracket, the wiring of which he had apparently installed himself, Apostle Lambert, of (Knoll Stre-t, Island Bay, received a shock which must have killed him instantly. !
A general warning to the public against interfering with electrical wiring was given by the Coroner, 'Mr MoXeil, at the inquest to-day. He pointed out that the Linesmen’s Registration iAct provided that np persons should do any electrical work unless they were licensed, and there was a penalty of £2O for a breach.
The evidence shov'd that the wire used was old and defective, and that it was fired to the woodwork with galvanised wire nails, also that it vas exposed to the weather, and that water must have got into, the lamp socket. The deceased was apparently trying to insert d lamp at the time of the, tragedy, and the earth floor was very wet. v
