EXPENSIVE BLAZE. BIG HOTEL DESTROYED. (Tig Telegraph—Per Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 27. The Railway Terminus Hot I, the largest building in I loleiisville, was destroyed by fire early this morning. There was a westerly gale blowing at the time. The Fire Brigade could do nothing but save the neighbouring buildings adjoining. A baker’s shop was gutted. The hotel boarders and staff escaped hv the fire escapes, losing their personal effects. The building was owned by the Stewart Estate, and it was valued at £15,000. The licensee is Mrs E. Morrison.
