A HOLD-UP
ON WESTPORT WATERFRONT. REFUSAL TO LOAD TRIBUTE COAL. (Bu Telegraph—Per Pre s.s Association) DUNEDIN, June 2t>. A private telegram stated that the Westport wntersiders this morning declined to load any coal from mines declared •‘black,” of those vvoiking on the tribute system.
The Ivomata which was to have loaded to-day is consequently held up.
It is understood the crew of the vessel also intimated that they would not carry coal if it is put on board by other than watersiders.
The Railway Department who are controlling the Westport loading, thereupon decreed that if the Kornatn was not loaded, no other coal would be loaded.
