There is nothing in the Canterbury or Westland district pointing to an outbreak of influenza of a type other than the ordinary seasonal one, according to reports received by the ’district Healtn Officer (Dr T. Fletcher Telford). He states that cases of even a mild type are few in number. An isolated outbreak of pnuemonic influenza was reported from Auckland recently.
