RUSSIAN TIMBER
SHIP’S OONSiGNMENT NOT unloaded.

SYDNEY, June 25
No attempt has been made to unload the remainder of the Sydney consignment of Russian timber on the “King iLiid.” The motor ship is to continue its voyage to the Agentine with half the consignment still in the holds. It now. appears that the shipment was merely speculative.
EMERGENCY INCOME TAX. 0
SYDNEY, June 25
Premier Lang gave notice in the Assembly that he would .introduce a Bill providing for the introduction of an emergency income tax. ' The “Herald” says:—lt is understood the Bill will be on the lines of a wages tax on a graduated scale to five hundred pounds.

FEDERAL LABOUR OBJECTIONS
CANBERRA, June 25
As the Debt Conversion Agreement Bill in the House of Representatives progresses more and more, members of Mr Scullin’s Party declare themselves un compromisingly against the rehabilitation plan whereof this measure is the first instalment. It -is. believed that when th vote is taken the Government will require full support of the Opposition in order to carry the day.
VICTORIAN LABOUR ATTITUDE
MELBOURNE, June 25
The State Labour executive ultimatum-, ed Premier Hogan and also Mr Jones, Minister .of Public Works, that unless "hey opposed the r duction of wages ampensions under the Premiers Conference financial plan, their etulorsemen : as Labour candidates would be cancelled. It is reported that other Labourites in Victorian Parliament contemplate supporting the conference plan, in which case th&ir endorsements will be withheld in the event of a crisis, which is regard-, ed as .inevitable
