AFTER THREE MONTHS

WELLINGTON, June 24
Mr Forbes, replying to'a question today, said it was hoped to com pie :e the business of the session in about eight weeks.
If the session ended in time, he said, ho anticipated, that the general election would lie held at the end of September or early in October.
A deputation of Southern wheatgrowers asked Mr Forbes to increase the proposed wheat price to 4s 9d. Tie replied that they could be assured of 4s 6d, and it would be for the House to sav whether the extra amount should be given. Most of the Reform members have
arrived for the session, and the Par y had a caucus this morning. It was continued this afternon. Those present included Mr Samuel, who is back from England, and Mr Massey, the new member For Hauraki.
An important Dominion Conference of the United Political Organisation takes place to-morrow. It will be attended by the United candidates select'd for the general election.
