131 BANDITS SENTENCED

ROME, June' 24. After a trial extending over a year, 131 members of the Sicilian Mafia have been found guilty of the crimes of murder, blackmail, and robbery, between the years of 1910 and 1926. Hi is represents the final cleaning up the Mafia. When the verdicts were, announced, the prisoners, in their iron cage, indulged in abuse and foul language.

Fifteen were sentenced to life imprisonment; nine to thirty years; fourteen to twenty-five years; sixteen to fifteen years; and seventy-seven to ton years or shorter terms.
