Thos. Moore (Mr ‘/Murdoch) for water race 20 leads, Blue Spur.—Adjourned to next sitting.
Jos. Havill and party (Mr, Elcock) for prospecting license. Blue Spur.—Objection by E. and J. Crowley and F. O'Neil (Mr 'Murdoch). Plaintiff in Ids evidence stated he marked out the claim, came into Hokitika and took out a miner’s right, made the application, aiid posted the notice of application. He knew the area covered freehold sections, but lie held that under the freehold gralit the areas were subject to mining operations.
After Imiiring (Jounce), the Warden resolved to visit the ground on the rising of the Court and reserved judgment till next sitting.
James Brown (Mr Murdoch) ordinary sea beach claim.—Granted. Thomas C. Gill (.Mr Elcock) v. Westland Gold Prospecting Syndicate Ltd., and Tmchelmann (‘Mr Murdoch) suit for cancellation of title. Mr Elcock intimated he .desired to withdraw the application. Mr Murdoch applied tor msts. Costs were allowed to counsel for Dr Teichelmann £3 3s. ROSS APPLICATIONS. H. Osmers (Mr Elcock) town lease Ross. Adjourned. H. T. Parry (Mr Elcock) ordinary prospecting license. —Granted.
D. P. Stuart (Mr Elcock) ordinary prospecting license. —Granted, exolud-ng portion of native reserve includ'd.
J. J. Mclntosh (Mr Elcock) for water race, 100 leads.—Adjourned. West Coast Gold Development Cov., ordinary prospecting license.—Adjourned.
