THE HITLERITE EMBLEM
HISTORY OF THE SWASTIKA.
ORIGINATED IN INDIA
« Just at the moment when Herr Adolph Hitler’s organ announces mat 100,000 new recruits are received each week dnto the ranks of the National Socialists, and therewith become- entitled to wear the swastika emblem on their sleeves, a French professor comes out with a learned booklet on the meaning of the swastika or hooked cross (hakenkreuz). It appears tnai the swastika sign originated in India. If! the -hooks of the cross were turned tii the right',; swastika was an emblem •of the sun, the life-giver. When turned to the left, it had reference to the moon, the queen-;of shadows and the goddess -of the underworld, where the departed spirits sojourned. With other peoples the right turned swastika was'the emblem of masculinity, and turned the other way of femininity. Statues of the Goddess Astarte, found in Syria, had that lady marked with a hakenkruez on the abdomen. Its real and original significance- however, remains a matter of doubt, according to the savant who has made it;the object of a long study. However; far. back we go into the religious history of Lidia we always find the' swastika. : -
The' ''pfdjckspr does, not go into the reasons which made Hatter adopt this aheient token as an! honoured symbol anipri& liis Teutonic Fascisti. But the reasons" riot fair to seek. The fewhistika, -' whatever it means, came from India. The same India is also the-Cradle’of the Aryan ;race, or .the Ifido-Germanio subdivision of the human race. The most outstanding and most virile representatives of this rice ire the blue-eyed, blonde Nordics, Whom Herr Hitler considers the salt 6f'the' earth and the cream, of mankind.! Let the weak-kneed Latins march urider their Galilean cross, the Slavs under a Byzantine cruciform, tMe Semites under the Star of David and the Crescent, the Teutons have their own mark. They don’t need to borrow' from other weaker brethren, or march' under false colours, so to speak. They have their annual ancient Aryan swastika, the hooked cross, das hakenkreuz. ■ .'v- - ( ■■■
It, is Worn on the left sleeve, so that known a real Teuton when he sees one, which would otherwise be a little difficult, what with all dark-eyed Rhinelanders and the •highbbned Silane inhab'itandts Of— Prussia; Which was once Bp-Russia. ~
