DISASTER AVERTED
MOTH ’PLANE OUT OF CONTROL. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) DUNEDIN, June 22. Clever handling of a moth ’plane by Pilot. F. C. Taylor averted a disaster at the Taicri Aerodrome yesterday. At a height of two thousand feet Taylor was stunting when his engine cut out and tile big crowd of spectators were horrified to see the ’plane hurtle earthwards in a spin. A tragedy seemci’ certain but at a height estimated variously at two hundred to four liutulrefl,..feet, ..T.aylpr, regained control, making a perl ecu landing on p, dead stick. “I’m very proud of Taylor and told him so when he landed,” said tne Otago Club Pilot, Flying Officer Olsen. Taylor was one of the first 8 A certificated idiots trained bv Olsen.
