A majority of the Indian Princes who are members of the Chamber of princes, generally approve of the plan lor a Federal Government for India. They include' tihe rulers of Hyderabad, Mysore, Travenccre, Kashmir, Gwalior, Jaipwi, Baroda and Jodhpur, the population of these at the last census being 40,405,000 out of a total of 80,838,000 in Indian States, ,
Of the fifty-two other States of any importance, a majority, including Bikaner favour federation, even if two hundred smaller States refuse u, join the Federation. It could be worked with the co-operation of the eight mentioned and a majority of the next fifty State's.
