TEST OF PATIENCE.
/ COMEDY ON LONELY ROAD. LONDON, June 4. A woman motorist and a man driving a pony trap faced each other for seven hours on a lonely, narrow road at Selbourne, Hampshire. There was insufficient room to pass, and each thought that the other should yield. The highly-amused villagers gathered. They covered the pony to protect it from the rain and took tht man bread and cheese for his lunch. The woman ordered lunch and some knitting from the village. A constable settled the matter by backing the cai into the main road.
