'V Necessity for some action, being taken to improve the quality of cheese was the subject of a remit moved by the Manawatu branch, which contended ■that the association should request the Dairy iProduee Board to accept the assistance of a committee of cheese factory mana-- ' . gers for the purpose of going into, .and with a view to solving manufacturing problems facing. ,the. industry,’ The remit was moved by Mr J. A. -Adams, who considered that such a committee would be of great benefit and help to the industry. Mr J. .Smillie said . that 'Tf •the. committee were'set up it would:-;ap-pear that the Government officers had failed. In his opinion Government:/offi.cjals were quite capable of look tag. the position.
