(Received this dav at 1.5 p.rnri LONDON, June 18. Miss Stopes’ invitation, as cabled, is featured in the evening papers, appears to be a hoax. Stopes interviewed, affirmed definitely that she had received the invitation. The “Daily Telegraph's" Rome correspondent, however, cabled.—“ The invitation is a hoax. If she confirms she ifi herself hoaxed.’’ The correspondent adds that any such action would be illegal in Italy.
