CARGO AT SYDNEY. (Australian Press .4 ssociation.) SYDNEY, June 17. The timber trade in Sydney, and also official circles, are curiously inquiring about a shipment of timber from a Russian port which arrived here by the motor ship “King Lud” yesterdav. The bill ol loading dischxsses 888.000 superficial feet or cedar, which, if intended for furniture manufacture, will compote with Queensland maple and silky oak; while, il it is boxwood, it will compete with New Zealand, pine. The shipment is regarded by the merchants here as a “leeler ’ to test the Australian market.
