SOME APPOINTMENTS, (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 17. It is announce! that consequent on the promotion of -Mr W. G. Baird to be Assistant Public Trustee, Mr C. J. Plavne, Assistant Controller, has been appointe dto succeed Mr Baird as comtroller of the estates division of the Public Trust head office. The position of Assistant Controller of estates, administration division, will be filled by Mr Joseph Byrne who at present is a special administration officer.
