A message from Weston, Connecticut states that Miss Etna Le Gallienne, founder, director and leading woman of New"' York’s famous Civic Repertory Theatre; Miss Josephine Hutchins, -a member of her company; and a maidservant. were burned following an explosion of a gas heater at Mis§ Re Gallienue’s country home, when she attempted to heat some water to give her dog a bath. Miss Re Gallienne was removed to hospital, where she wlil remain for a lengthv period. It is feared that she will be scarred from serious burns on her face, hair, shoulders, arms, chest and thighs.
