LIBERALS AND LABOURITES. (British Official Wireiess.) RUGBY, June 12. Leaders of the Liberal and Labour Parties met to explore the situation that lias arisen over the Liberal Party’s amendment to an importantclause in the land taxation proposals o-f the Government’s Finance Bill. The deliberations will probably he continued during the week-end. Newspapers express the belief that accommodation is likely to lie found and no crisis is anticipated. Mr Lloyd! George’s Edinburgh speech may he avoided in to-day’s conversations. The Prime Minister, accompanied by Mr Snowden, who is in charge of the Finance Bill, and Mr Lloyd George and Sir H. -Samuel attended on behalf of the Liberals. A full meeting of the Liberal Party on Monday will finally decide the action to be taken on the amendment which is tabled for consideration by the Commons on Tuesday.
