1 The fortnightly fixture at the above yards held yesterday brought ail entry of 58 fat sheep, 20 runners and 44 big cattle. There was a representative attendance of butchers and competition was good for all finished pens offered. The runners and cows were of exceptional good quality the former making to £'s and the latter to ' £lO. Ox beef was not so good as usual and only the best quality were in demand. Prices per hundred were firmer than the previous sale. W. Jeffries and Co. sold as follows: 58 ewes and wethers for AI. Carroll at--13/-. For Al. Purcell. runners to £5. For R.. J. Graham, 3 do at £3/17/6; 9 do at £3/14/-. For 1 Jacob Douglas, 2 dry cows at £5; 3 do at £4/15/-. For J. Anderson, 2 vealers at £2/10/-. For a client, 4 steers at £B/15/-.
