WESTLAND LODGE, NO. 00. The half yearly meeting of the above Lodge was held in the Lodge room on June -Ith., Arch Druid, Bro. R. Furness presiding over a good attendam e. j The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Inward I and outward corerspondenee received and approved respectively. | A. D. Bards reported Brothers on sick list were doing well. Sick pay and accounts amounting to £ll 10s were passed for payment. The District President Bro. . W. Wainmaii assisted by P.D.P. Bro. Mepliee then installed the following officers for the current term:—Bro. K. Furness J.P.A., Bro. Gutherlet A.D., Bro. R. Cressey V.W.. Bro. J. Tinnetii LG., Sis. F. Ballinger 0.G., Sister M. Jolley and Bro. Sarey A.D. Bards, Sis. Herring and Bro. J. Roberts, Y.A. Bards, Bro. T. Lock min. see. At the conclusion (of the Installation ceremony, the D.P. presented Sis. F. Ballinger with her Past Arch Collar and Diploma. P.A Sis. Ballinger thanked the D.P. for his kind remarks and also the Lodge for the
; presentation. I A very hearty vote of thanks was passed to the D.P. and carried by acclamation for the efficient manner in which he performed his duties. The District President suitably replied. The Lodge then adjourned to the social evening held in the Town Hall where the following toast lists were duly honoured:—“The King and the Order” proposed by the Arch Druid, “Grand Lodge” proposed by Bro. R. Furness, responded by the D.P, “The Visitors’ .proposed by Sister Ridland responded to by Bro. J Lines, “Star of the West.” and Bros. MoPhee, Rich, mond, and Sly mi off “Seddon Lodge.” “District President” proposed by Bro. R. Cressey, responded to by D.P. Bro. Wainmaii, “Lady Members” proposed hv P.D.P. Bro. McPheo. responded to hv Sisters Ballinger, Jolley and Radland, “Newly Installed Officers” proposed by Bro. S. Noble responded to by the various officers Musical -and vocal items were rendered hv the following, Sister Herring, Bros/ Cressey, Wainman. Brown, Rich, mond, Freeman and Hillhouse. Sisters Herring and Ridland acted as pianists for the evening. A short dance and the singing of Aiild Lang Syne brought to a close a very pleasant evening.
