CAUGHT IN BELT. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, June 6.
While working in a timber-yard in Hereford street yesterday afternoon, J. Cole, a single man, who lives at Id Clyde street, caught his hand in a belt driving a machine. He suffered a compound fracture of his right wrist, and broke his right forearm. He was suffering from shock when admitted fo the Christchurch Public Hospital at five o’clock, but his condition is not,
serious. HURT AT FOOTBALL. CHRISTCHURCH, June-6. J. Brmvn, a hoy who lives at the Waltham Orphanage, broke his le t. leg when playing football at Haglev Park yesterday afternoon. He was treated at the out-patients’ department of the Christchurch Public Hospital.
