BUTTER FACTORIES. DIVISIONS OF OPINION. (Received this day at 9.25 a.m) MELBOURNE. M :, y 29. There was a sharp division ol opinion among co-operative and proprietary butter faetorfiys regarding c.i.f. and f.o.b. methods of sidling compared with the consignment method and the question has been exhaustively debated at conferences by butter manufacturers, without anything like unanimity being reached. Mr Parker Maloney, of Markets, upon hi.s return from abroad expressed the opinion that e->-L i!l| d f.o.b. selling were detrimental to the interests of producers. a»d led to unfair manipulation, underselling and market depression. The outcome is that Afr J. King, 0 P 'Lie Loudon selling agency, lias been summoned to Australia and will attend a meeting of the Central Board 011 June 9th, when his views upon respective merits of the systems will be available.
