Crying—“ Death to the Pope,” Fascist students publicly burnt copies of the “Osservatore Romano.” reporting an audience the Pope had granted to Catholic students who complained or Fascist ill treatment. A student wearing the Catholic badge, was kicked to death, and one was hospitalled. The “Lavoro Fascista” points out that the clergy have been persistently provocative since the issue of Encyclical on Christian Education, refused to fly the national flag, and excluded from churches Fascists wearing black shirts, The clergy claimed that all Mussolini’s reforms were due to Catholic organisations,
