MONDAY, MAY 25th. Featured on 2YA’s programjn© this evening will be Margherita coloratura soprano, under special engagement to tlie Radio Broadcasting Company. This evening also, a series of “Petites Periodes” with favourite Masters of Music will be inaugurated. Air Ernest Jehuer, piaiiigt, lia s undertaken tire first of these “Musical Moments’’ and with Mr Arthur Clark, tenor, will'give “Twenty Minutes with tho Music of Beethoven.” A soprano from Auckland, Miss Gwenda Weir, vri(l sing the “Waltz Song” from “Romeo and Juliet” and two other songs, and Miss Hilda Chudley, contralto, with Mr Ernest Short, will sing Liza Lehmann’s charming duet* “Snowdrops,” besides solo numbers. Mr Short will also sing excerpts from “Hiawatha” and from Lehmann’s “In a Persian Garden. The Orchestrina, under Signor A. P. Truda, has chosen some interesting items.

The Woolston Band under Mr J. Estall will present a programme at 3YA The vocal portion of the programme will be provided by Miss Sylvia Marshall'(mezzo-soprano), Migs IM'art'is Butterworth (contralto), Mr H.' J. Francis (tenor), Mr Percy A. Caithness (baritone) and M r J- 1)ar ‘ ragh (humorist). Included in the baud items will be trombone ‘and euphonium solos

4YA will be broadcasting an International programme (Dr Mer.nngton, principal of Knox. College, being the speaker). Silent day at IYA.

TUESDAY, MAY 26th. The first instalment of the series of International programmes will be broadcast from IYA tkis evening. - i,-. James Parr, e x-Higli Commissioner ( will be the speaker, his subject being “(Impressions 'of the League of Nations.” The 2YA concert session will include many interesting features in addition to marking the second appearance of j Margherita Zelanda. Mr Noho Tok>, 1 Maori tenor,* whose delightful renditions of his own native songs are always acceptable, will be beard in two numbers with orchestral accompaniment. .Dorrie and Laurie, a novelty combination well above tin* •aveiage, will again entertain. Miss Gw'mdys IMwardes . soprano, will sing three songs with violin obligati—“The R e( l Sarafan,” “Sacrament” a nd “Because of You” also, with orchestral accompaniment, “At Nightfall” and “By®* that used to gaze in Mifle.” '1 he Salon Orchestra, will, supply the instrumental music of the evening. The Kaikorai Band, under Mr TJ. Kirk-Bunmand, with assisting 4A A artists, will present a special programme entitled “Around Great Britain and Ireland in two hours—from Cork to Dublin, from Belfast to London.” The programme will be composed of Irish, Scottish and English elements and ’ should prove a very popular entertainment. The vocalists will be the Harmonists Quartet, with humour from Mr B. Brown, and trioitems from Messrs A. H. PetUtt, Is.. Hunter and T. Law. Silent day at 3YA. ,
